What is Bactose?

A BREAKTHROUGH IN MICROBIOME SCIENCE

HOW IT WORKS?

Bactose™ is a novel strain of lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria able to colonize the human intestine and actively produce human lactase enzyme (lactose-phlorizin hydrolase or LPH), the same enzyme that people who are Lactose Intolerant are missing, it's also the same enzyme that many people take in pill form for their LI symptoms. Bactose™ effectively digests the lactose in our small intestine before it reaches the large intestine where it could cause all those common problems like gas, bloating and diarrhea. Bactose™ is taken for only 7 days and will continue to work 24/7 for the entire month. Bactose™ is part of a new class of targeted probiotics that work like little factories in the gut or what we call Bactories™ (Bacteria + Factories).

As we get older

In infancy, mammals have a high level of lactase activity in the lining of the upper intestinal tract, because they depend on lactose as the primary carbohydrate in their diet of mother’s milk.

However, in humans, the lactase expression is diminished by about 90% between ages two and five. This condition is called primary lactase deficiency. Many Northern Europeans, some Western Europeans, some Mediterranean’s, and their descendants carry a mutation that prevents this natural decrease in lactase production. These individuals are able to consume milk as adults. However, large portions of the world population (68% globally), such as Southern Europeans, East Asians, and Sub-Saharan Africans have primary lactase deficiency.

OTHER WAYS LACTOSE INTOLERANCE FORMS

Secondary lactase deficiency results from injury or disease of the Small intestine. For example, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS) and Crohn’s disease are often accompanied by lactase deficiency.

WHAT IS LACTOSE AND HOW DOES LACTOSE INTOLERANCE CAUSE ISSUES?

Lactose is a disaccharide, a sugar made up of two smaller sugars. The two sugars it is made up of are glucose and galactose they are linked by a beta-D-glycosidic bond. Ideally, lactose is broken down into its individual sugars by the enzyme lactase, an enzyme is a protein that facilitates a chemical reaction in living beings, beta-Dgalactosidase. In the small intestine by the cells of the intestinal brush border microvilli (very tiny hairs on the walls of the intestine that produce enzymes for digesting carbohydrates, this is where most carbohydrates get digested). Thus these intestinal brush border microvilli breakdown the lactose into glucose and galactose, afterward these two components can be absorbed in the small intestine and provide us with energy. When lactase is absent from the brush border microvilli, usually because we are genetically programmed to reduce producing lactase as toddlers as we move from a diet of milk to one made of other food.

WHAT IS LACTOSE AND HOW DOES LACTOSE INTOLERANCE CAUSE ISSUES?

Problems arise when there is none or not enough lactase produced and the undigested lactose reach the large intestine. There in the large intestine, the resident bacteria metabolize lactose through fermentation which generates gas. The gas is responsible for symptoms such as pain, pressure, cramps, and flatulence. In addition, the undigested lactose increases osmotic pressure (more water being needed to allow passage of the solution) in the large intestine, causing increased excretion of water which then leads to diarrhea and dehydration.

Lactose is hiding in many foods and drinks…

You never know where you might find it. Foods containing dairy are everywhere, even in foods you least suspect. People who are lactose intolerant have to constantly worry if there is dairy in foods when eating out or when splurging for that cheat day pastry.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER SOLUTIONS FOR LACTOSE INTOLERANCE?

The only available solution on the market today is Lactase pills, these pill's must be taken everywhere one goes, typically multiple pills are needed at one time and it last only about 45 minutes. In addition, many lactase enzyme pills actually contain lactase produced for other types of organisms and they do not function ideally in humans. This is simply a cost and ease of manufacturing issue, where those unscrupulous manufacturers do not care and rather produce a cheaper lactase to get better margins. Lowest price, shortest duration, least convenient.

What Bactose Customers Say

Literally changed my extremely lactose and dairy intolerant sons life!

I was so skeptical about this working for my 10 year old son who is EXTREMELY lactose intolerant. He cant have any cross contamination what so ever and lactose free products are off the table as well, not even a taste. I had no idea that it was even possible for a product like this to even existWhen I saw someone make a comment about this, I thought it couldnt hurt since it is just probiotics. I asked his gastroenterologist about giving him this and he said we can give it a try, probiotics are not going to hurt him even if it doesn't work.We didnt even follow the instructions to a T because for some reason I didnt realize they were right on the box, we just put them in the fridge, and gave them to him 3 times a day for 7 days. On the 8th day we very slowly tried milk products little by little to test and see if it worked. We gave him 1 bite of lactose free cheese and waited an hour. No pain. Then he ate a bite of regular cheese and waited. No pain. Then he tried a drink of regular milk. NO PAIN.I cant even explain the excitement he (and I) had! We went to the store the next day and let him choose meals and snacks he hadn't been able to eat in so long. It has now been a few months and I am waiting to see when it will start wearing off so we can do another does. So far he is still pain free. This literally changed our lives and we no longer have to be scared of going to friends houses or restaurants and checking labels. I felt like I woke up in a twilight zone where my stressed and worries about him getting sick and having unbearable pain and learning/creating new recipes to be safe for him all just went away in an instant.

I am blown away

I was so nervous about consuming diary that I waited an additional week before mustering the courage to try something. I have now been consuming dairy products for 10 days without a single symptom and I am blown away. I never expected the results to be anything like what they are.

IT WORKS!

Ice cream is my friend, but lactose/dairy is not. And I'm not going to eat dairy-free or lactose-free ice cream because that's just like eating sadness. So I bought this last month to see if it would help my digestive system from being so angry after I eat dairy. And it works!

5.0 OUT OF 5 STARS IT’S LIKE THE ENERGISER BUNNY, IT KEEPS GOING, AND GOING….

So this is an embarrassing thing to review talking about my past issues with Lactose Intolerance and the side effects of thus….diarrhea, gas… I have to say, I'm 2 months in now and Bactose is working incredibly well for me. Only negative is that you have to be consistent in taking the pills for the first 7 days, 3 times a day which was a little more work but after that you’re pretty much set for months so that was worth it to me.

IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!

So, I've never been one to write a review but my gastro told my about this stuff and, suffice it to say, I was skeptical. However, I went through the 7 day regimen (3 pills a day for 7 days) and it actually freaking worked! Completely blown away is really the only way I can describe it. The difference is night and day. I can literally eat whatever I want with ZERO effect. According to their literature, it lasts for months before having to re-do the treatment. I'm several weeks in and it is incredible! As someone who has tried virtually every lactose treatment available, this is an absolute miracle!

It was just ok for me. My biggest problem with diary is horrible stinky gas and bloating! This did not eliminate that completely but did lessen it considerably. The hard part is you must take on an empty stomach.

After recently figuring out I was lactose intolerant, I started not only trying to avoid dairy but using dairy alternatives where I could. I found a high fcu lactase pill and they worked great but gave me the most intense heartburn I have ever had. So I was searching again and found bactose. I figured if the reviews held true then the super high price tag for some lactobacillus might be worth it for months of relief. I followed the directions and for the first week I had incredible relief from dairy products. I really tested it too. Milk in my coffee, real ice cream, home made mac and cheese... and while it didnt eliminate all of my symptoms completely, I no longer became bloated. I wouldn't really get gas and had no digestive upset. I was thrilled. However, it's been almost a month since I finished the 7 day course and my symptoms are starting to return. I haven't had antibiotics or been taking any other lactase products or probiotics. I was really hoping for the 3 months of relief that this product claimed. Edit: Brandon from bactose contacted me, refunded my purchase, and offered to send me another 7 day course of bactose to try again. I am going to give it another try and will update my review after its completion. 2nd edit: I received 2 packs of Bactose from Brandon at Heliopatch. I completed my first replacement pack three weeks ago (around May 21st). So far, my lactose intolerance symptoms have significantly decreased again. I am able to have dairy products with minimal symptoms. I made sure to stop all probiotics and vitamins that could impact my results to really be able to test it. I will say this has been the BEST example of customer service and working for customer satisfaction I have ever received from a seller on amazon. I am beyond impressed with the customer service and level of communication from Brandon/Bactose. Because of that and the lessening of symptoms, I am raising my review. I will update again when I think it's time to take the third pack to see how long this has lasted this time.

Dear Bactose, Thank you for such a wonderful product. I am able to enjoy NYC's best pizza's - Joe's, John's and Prince Street. As a doctor, I'm pretty skeptical of natural products or supplements curing anything but Bactose has worked pretty well for me and those who I have recommended it to - specifically reducing bloating while consuming dairy. Great science!

Didn't realize something like this exists on the market, you take a 7 day pack once a month and it works for the entire month. I missed the days of going to the ice cream shop and drinking real milk with my coffee. This made such a difference for me, thank you!

Having read all the reviews here, I made this purchase thinking the reviews were fake but was desperate to try anything that would allow me to consume diary products again. I am seriously intolerant and have not been able to consume the tiniest bit of diary for over 5 years. I took the capsules for 7 days and then waited a week. I was so nervous about consuming diary that I waited an additional week before mustering the courage to try something. I have now been consuming diary products for 10 days without a single symptom and I am blown away. I never expected the results to be anything like what they are. IÕve eaten more chocolate and other diary products in the past days than I would have ever eaten prior to becoming intolerant and still no symptoms. If you are lactose intolerant and want to eat normally again these tablets will do it for you. Hopefully they last the 3 months as claimed, I will update this feedback.

I am severely lactose intolerant. One course of bactose has made my life so much easier. Before bactose I would have to be alert for trace amounts of milk in things like bread or snacks. Now I don't have to worry at all. I personally need a regular dose of lactase enzyme to eat a scoop of ice cream (something I havenÕt been able to do in years), but do not have to stress over small amounts of dairy that may be hiding in my foods. I can also handle a sprinkle of cheese with no worries. This product has made my quality of life so much better.

The first 3 months I tried this it worked amazingly well, about a week before the 3 month mark I noticed symptoms starting to return. I was busy and kept forgetting to order more. When I finally got around to ordering my second dose I did all 7 days and I felt great for a while. I am at the one month mark on my second pack and I'm noticing that most of the symptoms are returning with the exception of the cramping and stomach discomfort I normally get from dairy. I will ride it out until those symptoms return and then try a third pack, hopefully with better results than the second offered and update.

The longest solution for Lactose Intolerance i've seen I've started to become Lactose Intolerant as I got older, avoiding dairy is such a pain, have to ask every waiter is there dairy in this, right now the only solution to Lactose Intolerance is lactaid pills which have an effect that last like and hour or less, so annoying, Bactose is the first product that I've seen or taken that lasts multiple months, for me it lasted 2 months, quite amazing I say!

Bactose FAQ

What is Bactose?

Bactose is a genetically enhanced lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria that is able to colonize and actively produce the human form of lactase to effectively digest lactose in our small intestine.

The bacteria is stable and active in the conditions normally found in the human small intestine. This means that with just one seven day supply, Bactose will continue to work for months like little factories, or what we call bactories (bacteria factories) in the gut, digesting the lactose.

What does bactose do in my gut?

Bactose Works Smart Not Hard

Our probiotic populates your gut to produce lactase enzymes in the presence of lactose, having been programmed not to simply produce lactase all the time, but instead only produce it when lactose is present.

Long Lasting Effects

Being both stable and active, Bactose will continue to thrive digesting lactose for up to 3 months or more, although individual results may vary. This variation is caused by everyone’s body reacting to probiotics differently.

How is bactose made?

How is Bactose made?

The bacteria used in bactose, Lactobacillus acidophilus, is already found in the intestinal tract of most humans.

The gene we use produces LPH (Lactase-Phlorizin hydrolase), which is what is found in the small intestine of human newborns.

The method of gene insertion utilized a plasmid vector pRLU61 which can replicate bacteria, then the mRNA sequence of human Lactase phlorizin hydrolase in plasmid pS1234T was constructed by inserting the LPH into the unique EcoRI site of pRLU61.

When is the best time to take bactose?

Bactose is best taken on an empty stomach, 1 hour before eating, or 2 hours after eating. Reason is taking bactose with food or too close to a meal will prevent it from properly populating in your gut, greatly shortening the length of its effectiveness.

Effects of antibiotics?

Antibiotics are meant to kill bacteria, that includes probiotics and your natural microbiome. Taking antibiotics during the period bactose is working in you, will decrease the effectiveness and duration of bactose, probably stopping it altogether. You may need to take a new course of bactose 7 days after the antibiotic course is finished. However, taking bactose after finishing a course of antibiotics will actually help the efficacy and duration of bactose due to its opportunity to outcompete the other probiotics in your intestines.

Effects of other probiotics?

If you are currently taking other probiotics, we suggest stopping them for 2 weeks before starting Bactose.  This will give Bactose a better chance at populating your biome.

What is Lactose Intolerance?

Whether we know it or not, we have all probably had stomach cramps due to improperly processing Lactose. Lactose is simply a disaccharide made up of glucose and galactose.

Ideally, the lactose is broken down into its individual sugars and absorbed in the small intestine by the enzyme lactase. Lactose Intolerance is when there is no or not enough lactase produced and the undigested lactose reaches the large intestine.

There, the lactose ferments, generating gas that causes symptoms such as pain, pressure, cramps, and flatulence. In addition, the undigested lactose increases osmotic pressure in the large intestine, causing increased excretion of water which then leads to diarrhea.

If you want to know more about lactose intolerance visit:

https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/lactose-intolerance-101

Effects of Alcohol?

Consuming alcohol while taking bactose will decrease its effectiveness.

Is Bactose is genetically modified?

Yes. Currently Bactose is genetically modified using a plasmid, in the future we hope to directly modify the bacteria’s DNA which would result in both better stability and efficacy of the bacteria allowing it to be increasingly effective and last longer. This work is already underway by our head geneticist Walter, it is also the reason why we built our own electroporator which we are developing to sell at a low price.

The genetic modification is limited to a small genetic segment just to produce more mammalian lactase. The final product has been in use since 2016 and the only known side effect being mild stomach discomfort the first few days while taking the probiotic.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. Just email us and tell us about your experience then we will look you up and issue a full refund right away. But like all other returns, you will also forfeit any shares in the company gained from the purchase.

What is the cost of Goods for bactose?

Finished Package

  • $100 (Bulk Amount)
  • $1500 (Bulk Cost)
  • Single Package (Unit Amount)
  • $15 (Unit Cost)

This is buying the finished product from bactose inc, as a distributor.

What is Bactose quality control?

To ensure the efficacy of Bactose, we consistently run CFU count tests and tag the bacteria with GFP fluorescence to allow us to differentiate modified from unmodified bacteria under certain lights..

What are side efects of bactose?

Some people may experience abdominal cramping or bloating while taking probiotics such as Bactose. This discomfort is often a sign that the beneficial bacteria are remodeling, detoxifying and improving the gut environment or your body being unaccustomed to the sudden increase of bacteria.

If this occurs, stop taking Bactose until the discomfort has subsided then resume by taking 1 Capsule once or twice per day. Resume back to the standard dosage if tolerated.  Continue taking until all 21 capsules are finished.  If intestinal cramps or discomfort do not resolve or if severe, stop taking this product and consult your physician.
